Return of the Research Showcase

We were proud to once again host the Mass Timber Research Showcase at this year’s International Mass Timber Conference in Portland. Each year the showcase allows attendees to see and experience ongoing TDI research in the mass timber space. With the help of our team of student volunteers, we put current mass timber research into the hands of the public, sharing work on advances in operational forestry technology, robotics in manufacturing, fire testing, non-destructive testing, lighting and occupant experience, and more.

As every year passes, we find ourselves more grateful for the opportunity to show our cutting-edge mass timber research for the crowds of the IMTC. Thanks to the ongoing support of our faculty collaborators at Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, student volunteers, and our staff at the lab, we are able to tell our part of the mass timber story. We feel inspired and excited for what’s to come.
