Critical Mass Timber Group
The Critical Mass (Timber) Group is an informal monthly gathering of professionals interested in building bigger, taller, and smarter with wood. Centering on topics related to innovation in mass timber, our group brings together architects, engineers, construction professionals, developers, code officials, municipal planners, and anyone with an interest in seeing more buildings go up using renewable materials.
Our goal is to create an interactive discussion space in which individuals can learn from each other through sharing their personal experiences and projects. Our events are typically held on the last Thursday of each month and switch between virtual and in-person venues in Portland. Our group previously convened on the Meetup site, but outgrew the platform and has since transitioned to our own internal mailing list.
