Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1922, Hoffman Construction Company is a privately-held, employee-owned Construction Manager and General Contractor. In nearly one hundred years of continuous operation, the company has grown to become the largest general contractor headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, responsible for some of the region’s best-known buildings.
In Portland, Hoffman has delivered landmark structures including the Portland Building, the Oregon Convention Center, the Port of Portland Headquarters at PDX, and Park Avenue West, as well as major buildings for market leaders such as Nike, Oregon Health & Science University, and Daimler Trucks North America. In Seattle, Hoffman has built iconic buildings such as the Space Needle Century Project renovation, Seattle Central Library, and the MoPOP, as well as projects for Boeing, Sound Transit, and the University of Washington.
Hoffman works in a wide range of markets, from urban high-rise towers and cultural projects such as museums and libraries to advanced technology, industrial manufacturing facilities, water treatment plants, and more. The company has expanded its geographic reach to include projects throughout the western U.S. and overseas. Hoffman’s performance innovations have helped establish new industry standards for safety, quality, schedule, and sustainability on large, complex construction projects.
Hoffman is a full-spectrum provider of preconstruction and construction services including estimating, planning, scheduling, value engineering, design review, constructability analysis, document coordination, site management, procurement, diversity outreach, safety, and commissioning.
