The A.A. "Red" Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Lab. Acetylated Radiata Pine is used as the cladding on the front of house.
We are delighted to announce the official opening of the A.A. "Red" Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory. Members of the Emmerson family, including Red himself, attended to launch the new facility, a 14,000 square-foot state-of-the-art lab space that will soon house sophisticated CNC and robotic equipment, a CLT press, and one of the largest structural testing facilities in the nation. The lab, built by the OSU College of Forestry with the major support of Sierra Pacific Industries, will be the new home of TDI's OSU-based staff members and the operating hub for many of our education activities and structural research and testing projects. Check back soon for more photos and information.
