TallWood Design Institute is excited to be a host and sponsor of the 30th AEC Hackathon and Timber Tech Summit, to be held July 21st to 23rd at the University of Oregon's White Stag Building in downtown Portland. The AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) Hackathon was created to give those designing, building, and maintaining our built environment the opportunity to collaborate with cutting edge technologies and their developers and designers. It’s a weekend of geeking at its finest for improving the industries that affect all that live or work in a house or building. It has quickly become a global community of innovators that include all elements of the built environment, and AEC Hackathons have been held around the world, from London to Tokyo, Helsinki to Singapore, and Munich to Shanghai. We expect many guests to see the hacks on Sunday, July 23rd including delegates arrriving for the Pacific Northwest Economic Region Annual Summit which begins in Portland on July 23rd, with participants from 5 states and 5 Canadian Provinces.
Prior to the Friday evening start of the Hackathon itself we will host the Timber Tech Summit, a day of presentations and discussions on how technology can move forward the mass timber sector. For program details and registration please visit the PDX AEC Hackathon website.
